The Alpha Female is a strong, majestic female. She can often be intimidating to those around her and isn’t afraid to ask for what she wants. She’s killing it in her career and has a solid group of friends to rely on. There’s nothing quite as brilliant as a woman with confidence and ambition.
That’s the most recent definition of the Alpha Female that we could find. We have seen this term tossed around in magazines, films, debates, radio interviews and on TV. We thought that it was time to address this popular term and some of the ladies that are taking over the industry.
When we stumbled across the Evening Standard we were in awe of two distinct Alpha Females; Banking Analyst Camilla Andrews and investment banker Zhenya Burlac (pictured above).
Both are considered the new breed of City Women, and are unapologetically glamorous, fiercely ambitious and determined to be at the top. More and more alpha females are realising that not only does their appearance have to be in top shape but also their attitude in and out of the work place.
Alpha Females are helping to break all the stereotypes so dearly attached to their names. They are breaking traditions, shattering glass ceilings and challenging the status quo, all in heels.
