Personal Development Programme
Young Ladies Club personal development programme enables young women to develop their confidence and self-esteem through a variety of workshop and activities. The sessions young women participate in during the programme are:
1. Vision Board Workshop
Vision boards are a modern manifestation tool combining concepts taken from creative hobbies like scrapbooking with motivational mind-mapping techniques. A vision board is quite literally a collage of pictures, phrases, poems and quotes visually represent what individuals would like to experience more of in life.
This workshop helps young women use their vision boards to create successful images of their future. Young women are also encouraged to work in teams to develop communication skills.
2. Goal Setting & Motivation Workshop
This session is very unique because it allows young ladies to set goals for the future. We use SMART goals as a tool to help young women set deadlines on their dreams. The goal setting workshops will help young women set realistic attainable goals.
3. Career Development Workshop
The career development workshop helps young women develop core skills sets through activities that are based on careers in the real world. Young women are placed in teams and provided with different job roles and problems that need to be solved within the job role. The workshop helps young women reflect upon and develop the following skills:
- Problem Solving
The workshop will also feature a professional individual from the working world to provide young women with more insight into the working world.
4. Creative Activities Workshop
The creative activity workshops provide an opportunity for young women to express their creativity in the following areas:
- Creative Ideas exploration
- Creative writing
- Creative music
- Creative arts (performing arts, fashion show, design).
5. Relationship Building Workshop
Relationships are too important to leave to chance. Educational success and social-emotional development blossom when caring adults and supportive peers are present in young people’s lives.
Our relationship workshop will help young women to:
- Reflect on the things they currently do—and can start to do—to build strong relationships with others.
- Consider and discuss the ways that developmental relationships help young women learn to strive to be their best
