Young Ladies Club mentoring programme enables young women & girls to develop the confidence, skills & support networks to achieve their full potential. The programme also provides volunteer mentors that support the growth & development of young women & girls.
We have a range of mentoring programmes for young women & girls aged 8-30.
The Sheroes Rising Stars supports young girls aged 8-11 who are referred to us for the following reasons:
- To foster healthy friendships
- To develop social skills
- To encourage physical and cognitive development
- To develop self-awareness
- To develop confidence and self esteem
- To enhance creativity skills
We deliver our mentoring programmes weekly after school and online for two hours. Young girls are partnered with a mentor under the supervision of a project leader.
The Sheroes Mentoring Club supports young women aged 12-15 who are referred to us for the following reasons:
- Low socio-economic background
- Low attainment
- Lack of role models
- Challenging behaviour/engagement
- Low confidence/ self esteem
- To develop the skills required for healthy friendships
We deliver our mentoring programmes weekly after school and online for two hours. Young girls are partnered with a mentor under the supervision of a project leader.
The two-hour mentoring sessions cover self-esteem and confidence building activities in addition to academic skills.
Our programmes take place in secondary schools and online and mentors are with the students throughout the mentoring session.
The Sheroes Mentoring Academy supports young women aged 16-18 who are referred to us for the following reasons:
- Low socio-economic background
- Low attainment
- Lack of role models
- Challenging behaviour/engagement
- Low confidence/ self esteem
- To develop the skills required for healthy relationships
We deliver our mentoring programmes weekly in colleges, online and in the local community for two hours. Young women are partnered with a mentor under the supervision of a project leader.
The two-hour mentoring sessions cover career aspirations, goal setting, self-esteem and confidence building activities in addition to academic skills.
The Sheroes Mentoring Plus supports young women aged 19-30. Young women enrol on the programme for the following reasons.
- Low career aspirations
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Lack of positive role models
- Lack of direction
- Interest in starting a business
We deliver the sessions in universities, online and in the community. The sessions feature women who have diverse career and business paths who act as positive mentors and role models.
The sessions cover career mentoring, career planning, business mentoring, academic skills, goal setting, self-esteem and confidence exercises.
